Mostly Harmless: Working with Teens in the Library - AzLA Virtual Conference

Teenagers can be rowdy, surly, difficult, and sarcastic. They can also be funny, clever, sweet, creative, and sarcastic. If you struggle to connect with the teens who visit your library, this session may be for you. After 13 years in the high school classroom and another 12 as a teacher-librarian, Patricia Jimenez has learned some valuable lessons and best practices about working with teens. Some of her students will share their experiences (good & bad) with public libraries, and she’ll make sure there’s time to ask and answer questions.

Patricia Jimenez is Media Center Director at Sunnyslope High School in the Glendale Union High School District.
