eAccessibility Evaluating Your Library’s Success Indicators and Scalable Staff Training
Wednesday, January 5th from12:00-1:00pm
The Library of Michigan at the Michigan Department of Education was the first agency to sign a consent decree with the U.S. Department of Justice Civil Rights Division after a web accessibility complaint. Sonya Schryer Norris, who began her career writing Intranets at the Braille and Talking Book Library, led the web team through a two-year remediation period. She has taught eAccessibility to 300 library staff in Michigan, and produced four eAccessibility modules for library staff available in Niche Academy.
After this webinar, you will be able to:
- Evaluate where your library stands on key accessibility success indicators by comparing your responses to those of 200+ other libraries around the country
- Identify supports that library managers and staff need to implement and maintain an accessible web presence
- Scalable eAccessibility for all staff
