Tour of ASU Hayden Library presented by MCLC CE Committee
- Hayden Library, on the ASU Tempe campus, underwent major renovations which were complete in January of 2020. The goal of the renovation and reinvention was to enhance student space by giving them the tools and the space to succeed. Hayden tower now has nearly double the student space with group and quiet spaces and classrooms throughout the library. One of our floors is devoted to research and engagement, featuring our Makerspace, Labriola National American Indian Data Center, Maps and Geospatial Hub, and Data Science and Analytics. Our Distinctive and Special collections have been moved to a place of prominence on our ground floor to be better able to highlight these collections and educate patrons. During the regular semester, Hayden Library is open to students 24 hours a day/ 5 days a week. Our goal was to create a library that students would be comfortable to work and study in any hour of the day or night. We welcome anyone from both inside and outside the ASU community to our library!
