DESCRIPTION:PCI Webinar with Sara Benson\n\n\n\nControlled Digital 
 Lending\n\n \n\n \n\nIn the pandemic\, many libraries took advantage of 
 Controlled Digital Lending (CDL) through the Hathi-Trust Emergency 
 Temporary Access Service. CDL is based on an extension of the right of 
 first sale combined with fair use principles. \n\n\n\nThis webinar will 
 provide the basics of CDL\, how the Hathi-Trust ETAS utilized CDL during 
 the pandemic and how many libraries have built their own version of CDL\, 
 including the University of Illinois\, post-pandemic.\n\n \n\nIn this 
 webinar\, participants will learn:\n\n\n\n\n	How controlled digital lending 
 is legally justified\n	Why the Internet Archive was sued for engaging in 
 digital lending\n	Ways to distinguish the work of Hathi-Trust from the
