 has worked in varying capacities\, including as a narcotics officer\, 
 canine handler\, SWAT Team Leader\, and Sheriff's Office Criminal 
 Interdiction Team. Since becoming Sheriff\, Ron has implemented a myriad of 
 jail reform programs that have reduced recidivism (habitual relapse into 
 crime) from 45% to 18% and reduced the opioid overdose deaths of the 
 formerly incarcerated by 89%.
