Please join the Maricopa County Library Council Continuing Education Committee for a tour of the new self-service Mesa Express Library!

The Mesa Express Library at Monterey Park opened in the fall of 2023.  It is a one-of-a-kind, self-service library outfitted with Expanded Access technology to enable patrons to access the facility using their library barcode and PIN.   

The 1032 square foot library includes popular books for all ages, a self-checkout machine, public WiFi, reading areas, study tables, and return bins.  Hold lockers are located outside the library for patron convenience.  

The property has security cameras to monitor the space at all times, an onsite telephone for assistance and emergencies, and a video chat kiosk located in the lobby to reach a live library employee.  

 Adjacent to library is an outdoor program pavilion, toddler playground, and baseball/softball fields and pickleball courts managed by the city parks and recreation department.
