In-Person Training: Ryan Dowd of Homeless Academy

Arizona library staff are invited to an engaging in-person training session aimed at equipping staff with the essential skills to engage compassionately and effectively with individuals experiencing homelessness. Led by skilled trainers, this workshop will focus on providing practical tools and strategies that address real-world challenges.

Participants will have the opportunity to learn about:

  • De-escalation Techniques: Effectively manage and diffuse tense situations.
  • Trauma-Informed Practices: Gain insights into behaviors influenced by trauma and learn how to respond appropriately.
