Explore the Treasures of the State of Arizona Research Library!

Join us for a special behind-the-scenes tour of the State of Arizona Research Library during National Library Week! The State of Arizona Research Library is a branch of the Arizona State Library, Archives and Public Records, a division of the Arizona Secretary of State's office.

📍 Where: Polly Rosenbaum State Archives and History Building (1901 W. Madison Street, Phoenix, AZ 85009)

🗓 What to Expect:

• A guided tour showcasing materials from our extensive collections (Arizona, Law, Maps, Newspapers, State Publications, and Federal Documents)

• A look inside the Reading Room, where researchers access materials from the State of Arizona Research Library and Arizona State Archives collections by appointment.

• An introduction to our digital collections, including the Arizona Memory Project and Reading Arizona eBooks and audiobooks.

• Insights into how we collect, preserve, and provide access to Arizona’s rich history.

📖 Whether you're a history buff, researcher, or just curious about Arizona’s past, this tour is a great opportunity to discover resources available to the public.

Important Details

• Free parking is available in front of the building.
• Each person attending the tour must register.
• Please plan to arrive 10 minutes early.
• Please leave personal belongings in your vehicle. Any personal belongings you must bring with you will be placed in a locker (locks provided).
• Please do not bring food or drinks. They are not allowed in the building for the protection of the collections.
• You can take pictures in the public spaces during the tour, but must turn off your flash.
• You may want to bring a sweater since the building runs cold for the protection of the collections.
