Special Needs and Beyond: A Journey to Storytime - AzLA Virtual Conference

This program explores a different approach to story times. Christopher Coolman explains how the experience of raising a child on the autism spectrum led to the creation and implementation of a sensory story time program – to great success in the Yuma County Library District. He also describes the curriculum that he created and shares helpful hints for any library seeking to start this inclusive program.

Christopher works at the Foothills Branch of the Yuma County Library District. He is the father of a twelve-year-old on the autism spectrum.
