Optimizing Your Work Experience: Showing Up With Emotional Self-Leadership

Participants will discover how to practice emotional self-leadership and “show up” as their best selves. Building off of the “Applying Your Emotional Intelligence” workshops facilitated by Catherine for library employees in the past, participants will learn concepts, strategies, and tools that, when applied, facilitate an increased sense of ease, satisfaction, enthusiasm and motivation at work. By practicing mindful self-awareness, self-regulation, and emotional priming techniques, learners will discover how to choose their emotional and mental state, even when stressed and/or challenged. A secondary benefit results—constructive and uplifted morale of one’s teammates and customers—since mindful and purposeful emotional leadership “infects” others with positive emotions and creates positive “emotional wakes.”
