AzLA Professional Development Monthly Webinar Series: Beyond Facebook Live: building a Virtual Programming Space for Your Library

Register at: https://forms.gle/59BuuRHfu5uT8DtM7

Program Description:

When COVID-19 closed our public spaces on March 16, 2020, Maricopa County Library District began working on a plan to provide library programs virtually. From the beginning, we were dedicated to using our website to create a virtual programming space, and it was essential for library staff to be prominently featured in each programming video. Learn how Erin, Jolene, Lindsey, and Jennifer established a foundation of relevant, meaningful programs for the public, and concurrently advocated for the critical impact of library staff members. Participants will leave with actionable steps that libraries of any size and budget can use to make a similar impact in their community.

Presenter Bios:

Erin, Jolene, Lindsey, and Jennifer are members of a team that pivoted to virtual programming quickly at the onset of the pandemic. Each team member works in Administration for Maricopa County Library District, providing resources so that frontline staff are successful in their jobs. Their current positions are Library Deputy Director (Erin), Customer Experience Administrator (Lindsey), Programming Resources Manager (Jolene), and Projects and Partnerships Manager (Jennifer). Each came to library work from different careers, giving them unique skill sets and perspectives for creating exceptional virtual events.
