Podcasting and Your Library

Nearly half of all Americans are listening to podcasts on a regular basis because they provide a flexible way to learn information, or to be entertained while driving, working out, or doing chores around the house. Your library can reach these patrons, and build a deep and meaningful relationship with them, by launching your own show! But does podcasting require a lot of technical knowledge? A professional sound room or recording studio? 

In this webinar, Heather Teysko will break down the four things you need to start a podcast: a good idea, a sound file, a place to put that sound file, and a way for patrons to listen to it.

Heather Teysko ~ Biography 

Heather Teysko has been working in the library world for almost 20 years. She spent ten years at the Califa Group in California, leaving as the Assistant Director for Innovation and Development. She has also been podcasting for 12 years, and her show The Renaissance English History Podcast has surpassed 3 million downloads and has a social following of over 50,000 people.
